常常被罵的學生跟我說：

唉，我也要罵一下。你們說：問題在哪裡呢？

其實，yell /ˈjɛl/ （大叫、喊聲）後面的介詞很重要。
「罵」最自然的英文就是 yell ★at★：
I got bad grades, and my mom yelled at me.
(我成績不好，被我媽罵了。)
Our basketball coach loves to yell at us. He says it makes us tougher.
(籃球教練愛罵我們。他說這樣會使我們更強。)
因此，上面的「例錯」是：

其實，我們有 yell to 這個說法，但★意思不一樣★。
Yell to 就是「叫人」，通常是為了吸引那些沒在看你、或者不管你的人的注意。
I was at the tea stand when I saw my friend across the street. I yelled to him and asked him to join me.
(我在茶攤時，看到我朋友在對面馬路，我叫了他，請他過來跟我一起喝。)
When I left the store I'd forgotten my change. The boss yelled to me to come back and get it.
(我離開商店時忘記了拿零錢。老闆叫我回來拿。)

其實，shout /ˈʃaʊt/ (呼喊、喊叫、高喊）一樣，shout at 是「罵」，shout to 是「大聲叫人」。
My mom shouted at my dad for a long time after he came home late again.
(爸又遲到了，媽媽罵了很久。）
I saw a movie star at the airport. I shouted to him to stop so I could go over and get his autograph. He did it! What a nice guy.
(我在機場看到了一個影星。我叫他的名字，請他停下來給我簽名。最後他簽了，人真好啊。)
